There are 3 bedrooms; one with double and single beds, one double and one with bunk beds, one of which has french windows leading to a large balcony with panoramic views. The homely living room features a wood burning stove, TV, video player and library. The large and bright kitchen is fully equipped with stove, dish washer, washing machine, microwave and fridge, and there is a separate dining room which also gives access to the roofed terrace. There is central heating throughout. The large gardens and meadow are the location of many recreational facilities, which include a large pool (10m x 5m) with Roman steps, loungers, barbecues and boules pitch. A fishing lake is nearby. Situated close to the village of Sarrazac and only 7 miles from Jumilhac Le Grand, these gites are well placed to explore the north Dordogne and the south Haute Vienne regions. The Correze is also in easy reach. Brantome, the Venice of Perigord is close by.

The surrounding unspoilt forests are famous for cepe mushrooms and truffles which feature on the menus in the local restaurants. Historic Thivier, with its Saturday morning market, offers the opportunity to buy local delicacies. Slightly further away, but within easy reach, is Perigueux with its cathedral and medieval shopping streets. Many children's activities are within easy distance. Budget airlines fly there from Stansted, Liverpool and Southampton (Ryanair from £4.99 plus tax each way and Flybe). It is possible to secure a car hire from the airport (from £126 pw) making a week's holiday with us easily achievable. We can supply towels and linen in such circumstances so that you don't waste your baggage allowance on these items.
