Cosy retreat, Great for getting away from it all!

Review Submitted: June 14, 2011 Date of Stay: June 2011
Twisty roads through rolling hills,
a timeless place, a place to chill

endless walks and feeling freed
rural townies dressed in tweed

chorus of birds and horses neigh
a blissful place throughout the day

poppy meadows in dazzling bloom
clear night sky and glaring moon

cuppa tea in stripy cup,
evenings in with giant duck

wooden beams and quarry floor,
courtyard garden, seats for four

everything that one could need
a cosy bed and place to read

logs are burning in the stove
writing desk with lamp and rose

little cottage full of charm,
quiet haven, peace and calm

Thankyou

Idyllic Cottage in Idyllic Village

Review Submitted: September 22, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010
Our stay in the Cottage was perfect it was spacious, homely, comfortable and well equiped, with added extras in the Kitchen and Bathroom. A very peaceful and relaxing village but with easy access to the busier parts of the Cotswolds and a lovely place to come back to of an evening. Plenty of walks straight from the Cottage so ideal for thiose with dogs. Have already recommended it to friends who want to get away from everything for a few days and just relax.

A perfect place to relax and unwind

Review Submitted: May 18, 2010 Date of Stay: April 2010
We were here in April for a short break. The cottage is extremely well equipped, clean and cosy.On arrival we found a very useful welcome pack with all essential provisions. Also in the bathroom there was a selection of toiletries. All very much appreciated. It is situated in a very peaceful location in a lovely village and well positioned to visit the surrounding villages and towns. After a day out it was great to relax on the comfy sofas and enjoy the log burner. We had a lovely meal in the Fox one evening. Would definitely recommend this cottage to friends.
The only downside would be to say the stairs are rather steep for the elderly or infirm ,especially as there is only one toilet which is upstairs. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
