Montego Bay holiday villa

Drambuie Estate is a spectacular 35 acre hilltop villa with extraordinary views of the sea and Montego Bay. The villa was built in the 1940's by the Duke of Malborough as their private winter residence. Using cut stone walls brought from England over 200 years ago as ships ballast, the villa is constructed to resemble a 18th century tropical plantation house.

The Main House consists of a Great Room with large, comfortable sitting area, games area (including a pool table), TV viewing, sound system and many French doors that open onto a 330 foot wrap around stone veranda. The villa is furnished in great style with antiques, oriental carpets, fine original art, china and pottery. Also in the Main House is the spacious Master Bedroom suite.

A short pathway from the Main House leads through tropical gardens to The Cottage, where there are an additional 3 bedrooms. A few steps down from The Cottage is The Hideaway, a very private bedroom retreat, making for 5 bedrooms in total.

Bedroom Configuration:
All bedrooms are air conditioned with ceiling fans, cable television, CD sound system and mini-bar.

Main House
-Bedroom 1 is a large 22 x 30 feet with a King 4 poster antique canopy bed, large dressing area, private bath with double vanity, bidet, walled private shower, sunken bathtub. Opens to the veranda through double French doors.

The Cottage (bedrooms are 14 x 18 feet)
-Bedroom 2 has a King, therapeutic water bed, with private bath (tub shower combo)
-Bedroom 3 also has a King, therapeutic water bed, with private bath (tub shower combo)
-Bedroom 4 also has a King, therapeutic water bed, with private bath (tub shower combo)

The Hideaway
-Bedroom 5 has a Queen bed with private bathroom (tub and shower combination). This room is 14 x 24 feet and has twelve louvered doors that open to a wrap around veranda, perfect for morning coffee or lounging in the hammock to the sounds of the birds in the green ravine below.

The long veranda that surrounds the Main House leads down to a manicured lawn and sparking pool, all overlooking the blue of the Caribbean Sea and Montego Bay in the distance. At night the twinkling lights of the city are spectacular. The pool is an extra large 28 x 65 feet and is surrounded by terraces with comfortable lounge chairs and a Dining Pavilion and bar.

Drambuie has a complimentary full time van and driver who will provide airport service and trips to the beach or surrounding area. The villa also has a membership at the exclusive Round Hill Hotel and Beach Club for beach, tennis and fitness club.

The villa has a full staff of 8 including, chef, butler, bartender, housekeepers, laundress and gardeners.
