Our stay at Craigview House. St Andrews

We have just returned from a wonderful two weeks in this lovely home.
It was our 1st visit but hopefully will not be our last.
It is a clean, well eqipped, spacious house, all ensuite bedrooms which was a treat with no queing for the loo. The house has excellent views, and peaceful location.
We enjoyed the table tennis in the garage on rainy days, and eating breakfast and lunch outside watching the golfers at the 12th hole on sunny days.
It was aprox 15min drive from the house to St Andrews, and maybe 15min to the beautiful Tentsmuir Forest and Kinshaldy Beach.
The Drumoig Golf course which the house overlooks was used and enjoyed by my Sons and Husband and is an excellent 18 hole course. However on our last evening we ate in the Drumoig Hotel, and were dissapointed with the food and the service. Our table was set up about a foot away from another couple at the back of restuarant, although the restuarant itself was empty and tables with wonderful views over the golf course and hills were left empty. We had to ask for a change of table, which was given, but would have thought it would have been obvious to use these tables without customer pointing it out. Food was not great and took over an hour to serve, which they apologised for and gave us our drink free.
We did enjoy eating out in St Andrews itself on many occasions, with a wealth of lovely restuarants to choose from. The indian restuarants in the town are excellent, as are Italian and Pizza Express. I would certainly recommend this property to friends, and have done so since coming home.
