LAYOUT OF THE HOUSE:
The home features two spacious bedrooms and sleeps 4 or 5 people in comfort. In addition to the traditional medieval open fireplace there is electric heating for winter. The golden sandstone walls are 600mm (nearly two feet) thick and this, along with shutters at all the windows, help keep the house cool in summer.
The house has been furnished to a high standard using a mixture of both antique and new French oak furniture. Much of the house is newly decorated.
When you wish to prepare your own meals, the ground floor boasts a spacious French country kitchen equipped with a gas cooktop, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The new crockery, glass, cutlery and cooking utensils complement the inviting kitchen. Dine in the kitchen at the spacious table or enjoy outdoor dining just out the glass door which opens onto the very private garden patio.
Next to the kitchen, is the second bathroom with another shower, washbasin and toilet.
With its newly installed en-suite bathroom (shower, washbasin, and toilet), the first double bedroom is in a private annex which opens onto the patio. This bedroom provides air-conditioned comfort for any hot summer nights.
Upstairs, the attractive living room salon contains two comfortable leather sofas, a coffee table, another table and chairs and television with access to satellite channels. The day-bed offers comfortable sleeping for a fifth guest. The glass door leads to a lovely balcony with table and chairs. The stunning views of the village, the fortified ramparts, and the hills to the South make a lovely spot to relax and enjoy coffee, tea, or a digestif.
From the salon, the second bedroom is just up the stairs. The dormer windows look out to the South and West over the glorious views.
A utility room on the ground floor of the annex features a washing machine, dryer and freezer.
