Hall Barn is a stunning barn conversion in the grounds of Quaker’s Hall, a Grade II listed farmhouse which dates from about 1700, set in four acres of garden, meadow and orchard. The old farm buildings enclose an ornamental herb garden and potager. Formerly an open bay cart shed, this award-winning conversion has up-to-the-minute straw bale insulation which means it is cool in summer and very cosy in winter. The barn has a south-facing garden which opens onto undulating farmland with lovely views toward woodland and water meadows.

Haveringland is situated 9 miles from the cathedral city of Norwich, close to the picturesque market towns of Aylsham and Reepham which are convenient for shopping. There is a Routier-listed inn only 2 miles away and a number of other good country pubs within a few miles.

The beautiful North Norfolk coast is between 20 and 30 minutes drive with its salt marshes offering sightings of rare birds, seal trips out to Blakeney Point, the fossil-rich cliffs at West Runton, the seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham and Wells-next-the-Sea. The Norfolk Broads, centred on Wroxham, offer a huge range of boating for exploring the nature reserves and unique habitat of this part of the country. The stately homes of Blickling, Felbrigg, Mannington and Wolterton Halls are all nearby.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Welcome tray and flowers on arrival including tea, sugar, milk and local biscuits or cake.
    Minimum rental during July/August if for 7 nights, Friday to Friday. Minimum Christmas rental is 7 nights.
    5 nights minimum at New Year and Easter.
    4 nights minimum for Bank Holidays.
    Short breaks available (min 3 nights) at all other times.

    Mid-week, off season discounts. Please ask for details.

    Christmas/New Year, the barn will have a fully decorated tree.
    Rental includes bed linen, towels, toiletries. First basket of logs and kindling provided. For two week lets, bed linen and towels will be changed and a service clean provided

    Deposit of 30% payable on booking. Balance to be paid 8 weeks before start of let.

Hall Barn - Accommodation:

Ground floor: Huge open plan space with kitchen, dining area, large double height sitting area with inglenook fireplace and window seat, aerial walkway and gallery, glazed window bay with sliding doors to terrace and garden. Features a mix of contemporary materials such as marble resin floors, granite worktops, straw bale walls with exposed beams and antique furniture. Small double bedroom(4' bed), double bedroom, shower/utility room with WC.

First floor: Large king-size bedroom with dressing area and ensuite bathroom, (this bedroom also has a small single bed in alcove). Twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Aerial walkway between. Sleeps 7/9.
