The Ebro Valley is off the well-beaten tourist track but has a lot to offer. Roman remains, medieval villages, Knights Templar castles, stunning natural parks and a Mediterranean coastline.
Active families can enjoy canoeing, horseriding, archery, fishing, rambling and birdwatching.Mora is well placed on the intersection of the C12 and N420 which gives you easy access to the whole region. Mountains to the West and East offer spectacular views, fantastic birdwatching and walking. The Ebro Delta can be reached in 45 minutes and a scenic mountain pass will take you to the nearest beaches of Miami Playa or L'Hospitalet de l'Infant in 30 minutes. And if the young ones need their fix of white knuckle rides then Port Aventura Theme Park and the busy resort of Salou are only a 45 minute drive.
The River Ebro is famed for its giant catfish and specimen sized carp and has become a popular destination for anglers after the dream catch! Directly outside the apartments you can fish on a couple of hundred yards of easily accessible bank where catfish of over 100lb have been caught as well as Zander and carp to the mid 20lb mark. Mora is also a great central base to reach some of the prime fishing spots up river at Flix (20 mins drive) Riba-Roja (30mins) Mequinenza (1 hour) or downriver towards Xerta and Tortosa (30 mins). If you want a day or two of guided fishing we can arrange that for you with our recommended guides but it is entirely optional.
We have fishing tackle to hire and our large garage is at your disposal for storing your gear and tackling up. There is a fridge in the garage to keep bait.
