Private little Haven

We found villa Azahar to be a beautiful, well maintained modern villa in a quiet residential area, the pool area is screened from the neighbours which offers complete privacy. There is a good size patio area with two sets of dining furniture. Inside it is well furnished throughout and even has a bath as well as a shower. The TV had all the main English channels so keeping up with the soaps was a bonus! On arrival A small welcome pack was waiting for us, even though we had not requested one. A large supermarket and a bar is a 5 min walk away but a car is needed as it is a good 3km walk along a main road to the nearest resort. The sand Dunes are a Wonderous sight and walking them bare foot is a must.
Corralejo looks to be suffering from the recession as quite a few shops/bars have closed down from our last visit 4 years ago, however there is still enough open to offer a competitive choice. Caspers (Belgian cocktail ) bar is the place to visit, it caters for everyone and Casper the resident dog is the star attraction. The weather could have been better, we had a few rainy days but it looks like we got off light compared to the other Canary Islands who had floods and landslides. In England it was snowing- to be expected In January. In all we had a relaxing break in a lovely Villa and would recommend Villa Azahar as the place to stay, we can honestly say that we couldn't think of anything to improve it.
