La Coupliere has four bedrooms sleeping 7 people, is centrally heated with a newly fitted kitchen, beams and a log fire. It is an ideal base to explore Normandy and visit all the major tourist attreactions. Mont St. Michael, the D-Day beaches, the Bayeaux tapestry, the cheese and cider routes all around an hour from the house.
La Coupliere has three good sized double rooms and a large single with a traditional Normandy roll top bed. Also on the first floor is a large bathroom complete with bath and newly fitted power shower. The large bright livingroom has exposed beams, traditional tiled floor and a large wood burning stove for those cosy winter evenings.
The large kitchen has just been fully fitted with washing machine, dryer and dish washer and a dinning area with table and seating for 8 people. There is also a downstairs toilet off the main hallway.
Outside, the mature gardens are mostly lawned (ideal for soaking up to sun on those balmy summer days) with a variety of schrubs and bushes. The garden is fully enclosed making it ideal to let the kids run loose. A weeping willow provides cooling shade and there is garden furniture and a BBQ.
For most people the real French experience can be found in the lively and colorful markets, where the French go to buy the freshest produce and regional specialities and to socialize and catch up with old friends.
Try the famous cheeses, if you can make your mind up among the bewildering choices, or visit the local farms to sample the wide variety of Cider and Calvados available, each with its own unique taste depending on the local soil conditions and of course the generations of experience of each producer.
Whatever you want out of your holiday, be it sightseeing, walking, golf, cycling, horse riding, angling or simply relaxing on an uncrowded beach, Normandy never disappoints.
