The Chestnuts cottage has been part of Shilton life since the 1800's, situated in the very centre of this tranquil conservation village that sits in the valley of the Shil river. The cottage comprises a large lounge with a flagstone floor and beamed ceiling and contains a large inglenook fireplace. It's furnished with two comfortable sofas, one of which is a sofa bed for two additional guests. There is a TV, DVD and CD player as well as games, Dvd's and books. There is free wireless internet and telephone to many regions.
Off the lounge is a sunny conservatory hallway and a downstairs clockroom and luxury limestone raindance shower room.
There is a second lounge to the rear of the cottage that overlooks the garden and contains an ipod docking station, tv with freeview and dvd. This also has a double sofa bed.
The kitchen contains all the gourmet chef should ever need, including an all important full size dishwasher.
The kitchen and dining area look out over the established gardens and patio area, to the adjacent horse paddock and on to the ford and duck pond beyond.
Upstairs the cottage has been furnished for relaxation, with the use of soft pale colours and crisp white linen. There is a large bedroom with ensuite bathroom via a stone stairway from the main lounge. It contains a cd player and TV with freeview. The two further bedrooms have beautiful views over the garden and the village and share a luxury bathroom with a deep bath and underfloor heating for that added luxury.
The garden is large with plenty of areas for outdoor eating and enjoying the view.
Car parking for one car is available on the property, but there is also ample parking on the road.
