Kalkan holiday villa "Villa Zeugma ( Kalkan)" in kalkan

My friends and I stayed at this villa last year and it was the most memorable holiday we had the views are the best in Kalkan, the rooms are spacious and comfortable ideal for a large group or family, definitely we will be back to stay at Villa Zeugma.

Stayed at the magnificent villa 22/10 to 29/10 .The villa is simply stunning and probably in 30 years of travelling around the world as the most amazing views ! The villa has everything one would wish for.Due to a family problem we only used 2 of the 4 bedrooms on the top half of the property but the annexe in the lower half would be brilliant for teens or if 2 families shared the villa .The 2 rooms we used both had stunning views and waking up in the morning with a view of the sea and harbour with the boats going out for the day will be always remembered.The pool area is just gorgeous .The owner Sandie arranged transfers from Dalaman ( a bit long 90 mins but very comfortable vehicle with bottled water supplied) and met us to show us round .A nice welcome pack of basics was provided .We had a nice Turkish man Bilent who brought us fresh bread each morning , cleaned the pool and set up our umbrellas and sunbeds .There is a beach club just down from the villa , the steps down are steep but it only takes 5 minutes .It was 8.50 Turkish lira for a sun bed and umbrella for the day and they did and excellent lunch with great service.Every Wednesday evening they do a barbecue night at 35 lira. We would do this if we went in the main summer season.They will bring you back up the hill to the villa free of charge and they also do a free water taxi into Kalkan town.The town is about a mile away but due to hills is very difficult to walk but a taxi is only about 8 lira and were normally at the villa within 5 minutes of ringing.Getting back from the taxi rank is easy .there are several supermarkets for basics , a butchers and a barbecued chicken place in town .Yal and Adda will deliver free to your villa.The town itself is very pretty with many roof top restaurants/bars but again very hilly.You will find the moist expensive are down by the harbour .We never had a bad meal at any and whilst we found the prices to be more expensive than other areas of Turkey they were still better value than the UK and Spain. We ate at Mousakka ( our favourite) Merkez , Nar , Trios , Baharat and the Olive Garden( Tip- dont order starters or deserts you get them free here !) On the last day we had a takeaway before leaving for the airport delivered to the villa free.Shish kebab 2 tuna sandwiches and 3 chips cost 42 lira .Be warned at Dalaman airport a Big Mac meal is 24 lira ( £11) and a KFC bucket £30 scandalous !!!

We stayed at the Villa in June and we found it to be one of the best Villas we have ever stayed in, there were 6 adults and not 1 of us could find fault.
The Pool area is fantastic ( which is cleaned and serviced every day ) as well as the sun bathing terrace and the main house is very spacious, the bedrooms are all en-suite and are incredibley clean.
I would recommed this villa to anybody if you want peace and quite but within walking distance of the main resort.
