A beautiful Belle Epoque town house built into the ramparts of the fortified old town of St Valery and with fine views overlooking the Baie de la Somme. Place St.Martin was chosen by Carlton TV as the setting of John Thaw’s 2nd World War drama series ‘Monsignor Reynard’ as being one of the few town squares unspoilt by modern development. La Falaise was used throughout the series as the Prefecture of Police.

Situated in the old quarter of St. Valery - sur - Somme, the house is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. There is a fantastic sea view from the rear of the property across the Bay St. Valery was the point from which William the Conqueror set sail for England and is still a traditional fishing port, On Sundays there is a fine market along the quai for local stallholders and others. A narrow gauge steam railway operates across the marshes to Le Crotoy. The town is within easy reach of the fine beaches along the Cote d'Opal. Fort Mahon with the Aqualud theme park and the chic resort of Le Touquet with water theme parks are worth a visit. Top class golf courses are available nearby. Calais 90 minutes, Paris 2 hours by car.
