Terrazas de la Bahia is an established development one step back from the beach, situated between Sabinillas and Estepona. Approached through security gates and delightful well stocked tropical gardens, this ground floor apartment has one of the pools on its doorstep and has 2 terraces, one being south facing with views out to sea. There are 2 bedrooms, one double with en-suite and access out on to the southerly terrace and one twin bedroom with a bathroom next to it. The comfortable and spacious accommodation is ideal for family use. There is a TV and DVD player as well as a radio/CD player with iPod lead. A large number of golf courses are nearby and Puerto de la Duquesa, Sabinillas and Estepona are just a short drive. There are also many restaurants, beach bars and shops close by. A petrol station with mini market is located down the hill near the entrance to the urbanisation. A Private Parking space is immediately to the rear for easy unloading of shopping or golf clubs.

Terrazas de la Bahia is situated west of Estepona, approximately 10 minutes from the charming village of Casares. The Finca Cortesin Golf Resort is on the doorstep and is the site of the Volvo Masters Martchplay in 2009. Minutes from the apartment are several more high quality courses including Dona Julia, Estepona and Duquesa. Along the less discovered nearby beach at Bahia de Casares are a number of Cheringuito Beach Bars which serve excellent food during the day as well as in the evening for some. Puerto de la Duquesa is less than 10 mins drive to the East where there are many restaurants and bars, shops, a marina and beach. The beach at Sabinillas is also very pleasant and is only 5 mins drive away. It is 40/45 minutes from Malaga airport.

General Information: The nearest beach to the apartment is at Bahia de Caseres, a short 5/10 minutes walk, but the beach at Sabinillas is well worth making the extra effort to visit. You can either drive to this or take a pleasant walk along the beach, stopping on the way for refreshments at the cheriguito beach bars. Duquesa Marina is also worth a visit as is Puerto Banus. Gibraltar is about half an hour's drive but it is advisable to park outside and to walk across the border due to the traffic, perhaps a trip out to see the dolphins before you go across would be a good idea. For the children, and adults of course, there is a great water park at Mijas and the nearby Selwo Adventure Park at Estepona is a great day out.

Golf Information: As most golfers will know there are many golf courses on the Costa del Sol and the number is increasing all the time. The courses can offer the serious golfer a very challenging round but there are also many that cater for the occasional player. Literally at the entrance to the urbanisation is the delightful Dona Julia course and a little drive towards Casares is the stunning championship course of Finca Cortesin, home of the Volvo World Match Play Championships from 2009. Estepona Golf is a short 5 minute drive away, Duquesa Golf is also under 5 minutes away to the west as well as a few new nine hole courses that have opened in recent years. Valderrama, San Roque La Reserva, Sotgrande, Almenara and La Canada are all within twenty to twenty five minutes drive away.

Shopping: There are a number of places for the serious shopper to visit, Puerto Banus and Marbella are approximately 30 minutes drive and well worth a visit for the atmosphere. Duty Free shopping and a 'fix' of Marks & Spencer or Safeway is possible in Gibraltar. There are open air markets in several towns, Puerto Banus on Saturday mornings, Sabinillas on Sunday mornings, and Estepona on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. For your provisions there are several local supermarkets, a Carrefour in Estepona, and a mini market in the Petrol Station at the bottom of the hill, approximately 3 - 4 minutes walk.

Great for families or golfing breaks

Whata great property in a brilliantly positioned location. I've now stayed there on a number of occassions on both family holidays and on 'boys only' golfing breaks.

The sea is close, the small port of Duquesa only a very short ride away (plenty of familiy friendly places to eat/drink) and some of Spain's finest golf courses are on your doorstep - Finca Cortesin (home of the World Matchplay) less than a mile away. Some traditional Spanish towns (such as Casares and Gaucin), up in the hills are only a short drive away and provide the opportunity to lap up some true Spanish culture.

The appartment is on a small complex that is consistenly quiet, has fabulous well maintained gardens and 2 great smimming pools that are regularly unused.

The appartment has recently been refurbished and provides excellent accomodation for up to 4.

I'm hoping to stay again - the best compliment that one can pay!

Perfect break

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accomodation was clean, modern and very comfortable with lots of little extras that you wouldn't normally expect. Ideally located for golf, beaches, sightseeing, shopping or simply lounging on the balcony or by the pool which is, as has previously been mentioned, very under used. We went in every day and most of the time had the pool to ourselves - I'm not sure why because it is beautifully clean and well maintained.
Loads of great restaurants nearby for eating out, but just as easy to get things in a local supermarket if you want to stay in.
You definitely need to hire a car if you want to see anything of the local area.
Having never done self catering abroad before I was a little apprehensive about what to expect but it was much better than expected. Only thing missing? ..... Someone to wave a fan and peel grapes for you!

Perfect time away

I'd just like to say how much we enjoyed our short break in this apartment. The apartment itself is very well maintained, clean and has all the mod-cons required to enjoy a relaxed time away. The pool area was nice and quiet and the beech is only a 5 minute walk away. We will be definatly be booking again for next year.

What a lovely place! Although we travelled in August, my 2 children (10 and 7) had the pool to themselves most days. Spacious local beach too.

The apartment had everything we needed - loads of room and well equipped. It was clean and had those extra touches - a couple of games, a bat and ball, iPod lead for music and a DVD player.

We really enjoyed our stay - Thanks to Debbie for all her information and help.

Superb apartment

Had a brilliant 4 days away in this luxury apartment. The sun terrace was fantastic, a real sun trap - able to sunbathe even in February! A clean and very comfortable apartment which I would highly recommend. Lots of fantastic places to visit in the area but you will need a car.
