Situated in a very quiet residential area, a few steps to the sandy Blue Flag beaches, ferries to L’lle-d’Yeu, seaside walks, restaurants, daily markets every day except Monday and the town of St Gilles Croix de Vie. Janet and Mike provide family accommodation to a very high standard. The price for all our accommodation is fully inclusive of heating, electricity, bed linen, bathroom towels. WiFi available.

The property is on the borders of St Gilles Croix de Vie and St Hilaire de Riez. Both towns border the coast and there are many events and activities organised in the summer season such as free magnificent firework displays and concerts for all tastes. There are a wealth of natural sites; the beautiful beaches, forests and country side. It is especially good for those who like walking or cycling with miles of foot paths and safe cycle tracks. Cycle hire is easy and plentiful. There are daily market in either St Gilles or St Hilaire every day of the week except Monday. The feature of the markets has to be the fish and seafood most of which is caught by the local fishermen. St Gilles Croix de Vie is one of the most important fishing ports in France, famous for is sardines and anchovies. The local restaurants boast a wealth fish on the menus and you cannot visit the area without having moules frites (mussels and chips) at least once.

Our new purpose built spacious accommodation is now open, it has two double bedrooms one with a king size bed and the other with a king size bed and a full sized single bed as well. Both rooms are tastefully furnished with their own on-suite shower rooms and toilets. The bedroom with two beds and shower room has been designed for disabled access. The accommodation also benefits from a private rear terrace with tables and chairs as well as the large terrace at the front of the property which is for your sole use There is a large living room with corner kitchen, comprising of a full cooker, microwave, electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, crockery cooking utensils etc. The dining area has a table, 5 chairs, small settee two chairs, TV, DVD, and music centre. There is also a high chair, baby cot, bath and potty, all available on request. There is no charge for these. A discount is available to couples using one bedroom/ showeroom, excepting July and August.

The accommodation is dual purpose and a bed and breakfast option can be taken for shorter stays and for couples or single people requiring just one room. Breakfast is served in the owners house and consists of: Tea, coffee or chocolate, bread, croissants and brioche fresh from the bakery, local farm yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, jams and honey. For children under two there is no charge.

Our autumn break proved to be very enjoyable as the property was clean and well maintained with good cooking facilities,two useful shower rooms,central heating and a comfortable outdoor eating area when the weather was good.
Off street parking was available and it was only 5 minutes walk from the beach and a 20 minute stroll into the centre of St.Gilles where there are plenty of restaurants and shops to visit.
Owners were very helpful with information about what there was to do in the area and provided games,DVD's and books in property for when weather was bad.Our children were able to access internet to do their homework too.
Overall an ideal location for a relaxing family holiday.

A great place to stay, accommodation & hospitality fantastic, very clean, spacious and private.

There are plenty of beaches to choose from, St Gilles a reasonable walk from the accommodation and good for shopping. There are lots of places to eat and places to visit. Would love to go back again and represents good value for money.

Our First Holiday in France

Friendly and helpful welcoming. Accomadation excellent with all home comforts. Far better than expected. Close flat walk to the beach. WiFi access was brilliant. Most things are close by but transport would be an advantage to get to the supermarket and further a field. We went every day!

Fantastic holiday with added bonus of owners being close who were extremely helpful and full of local knowledge. Member of party was in a wheelchair and found the accomadation very accessible but had assistance. That good we are going back next year!
