An excellent property and exceeds all expectations from illustrated photographs. Living area, outdoor space and master bedroom/en-suite are all much bigger than appears on website and the adaptability of the upstairs area is immense. The 2 twin rooms are more than adequate size with a good shared bathroom. Upstairs there is a very useful toilet cum storage area with additional cupboard on rear terrace for things maybe like kids toys and the like. The kitchen itself is very well equipped with all mod cons, appliances and utensils. Outdoor space is really nice, the pool area being on a lower level from the b.b.q. which itself is brand new this year though already used and very tasty! An additional back garden/orchard is at the back which is in fact really the front - but you'd never know!! Its lovely and has several fruit trees ripe for the picking. To be honest you don't really have to leave the casa except to get supplies from your preferred super..but that would be a bit of a waste as the surrounding area and Luz itself is so interesting and pleasant to live in. It's is also not absolutely necessary to hire a car as many places are within walking distance - be it near villages and points of interest plus taxi hire to Lagos is reasonable. The local bus service is good and if you want to go further afield it is possible to take a coach tour for around 40euros return to Lisbon for the day but be prepared for an early rise (4pm-ish) and late-ish return (around 10pm) and a bit of a bumpy journey but well worth the visit even though in our case we had only 3 hours in the city after visiting points of interest with the tour guide. The casa is perfectly situated within Luz being far enough away from the centre to feel not in the centre but so near its only 5 mins max to reach the seafront and a lovely walk down the hill. For those who don't fancy the walk back up after a day in the sun (or o bar!) there is a taxi rank at Luz church to whisk you back up the road!! Hope to return again some day. Enjoy your holiday!
