A wonderful cottage and a wonderful destination

About us - Barry and Gary, young(ish!) couple, with our dog Jasmine
Property - a charming barn conversion, on a quiet country lane (about 3 cars a day) with views over Drift reservoir, which also makes a good destination for a walk
Rooms - a large open plan lounge/kitchen upstairs and a large double bedroom downstairs, with a bathroom containing a good sized shower (not just a tiny cubicle)
Location - really ideally located for exploring Penzance, St Ives and the South West Coast path that runs the entire coastline. Charming fishing villages and gorgeous beaches within 5-10 miles in all directions. <5 miles to major supermarket to get a big shop in.
Facilities - no TV reception, but there is a TV with DVD selection. There is also a wired internet connection, so if you're desperate, you can watch iPlayer (we enjoyed the break from TV!); we listened to lots of digital radio. All of the kitchen facilities were perfect.
Hosts - Jane and Simon could not have been kinder or more hospitable. They know all the best places to go, and all the free parking spots. They love dogs and it was a thoughtful touch to have a dog bowl full of water waiting (as well as the tea, coffee, milk etc for the humans!)
Things to do - we mainly walked - there's a book of Cornwall walks in the cottage that we used. We also visited a couple of National Trust properties (Lanhydrock and Trengwainton), Nanjizal beach was beautiful, we also had a day trip to the Isles of Scilly.
Really highly recommended for explorers or those wanting a romantic getaway.

Owner's Response: Simon and I work hard in keeping Lowenek barn up to a high standard, it is very important to us that are guests are warm and comfortable. Anything we can do to create a relaxed enviroment for our guests we will.
