A beautifully structured wooden roof over the rooms also supplies shade to part of the courtyard area while other parts remain great sunspots. An ideal location for families with small children as the courtyard is secure and child friendly. Pets are also welcome.
The kitchen is also modern with all appliances and comforts one might need on holiday.
Beach towels are provided and we have three bicycles you are welcome to use!
The Ria Formosa Nature Reserve is a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers alike. For people who prefer a little more strenuous exercise there is also a local kitesurfing school, horse riding, tennis and many mountain bike trails. Boats leave the pier for deep-sea fishing all along the Algarve Coast.
An excellent commuter train service connects all the coastal towns of the Algarve with a frequency of 1 train per hour during the day and connects Tavira with the twice daily Faro-Lisbon express. The Spanish border is 20 minutes away, while Seville is 90 minutes drive or a little longer by the twice daily express bus.
Tavira is an ideal town for family holidays, the town itself is a charming mix of old and new – Roman, Moorish and Portuguese features abound. There are many restaurants and fish is a specialty. Inexpensive restaurants, bars and cafes abound in Tavira and the surrounding villages. From June through September, there is an abundance of street entertainment in the form of concerts, street theatre, markets, fairs, processions, etc.
