The ground floor (the former bar) has just been converted into a split level double bedroom, with a small lounge area in the lower section. It's the coolest part of the house, so perfect on hot summer nights, or for an afternoon siesta. With a wood-burning fireplace, (still in working order although we provide electric radiators for the winter) it's a great place to relax. The original bar area remains, complete with sink and bar stools!
A tiled staircase leads to the middle floor, with a small but well equipped kitchen (gas cooker with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, electric slow cooker, etc), a dining/living area (with TV, DVD player and hi-fi), large bathroom (with bath, shower, toilet and brand new (August 07) washing machine), a small but very quaint double bedroom (this is best described as an alcove, and the bed fills the width of the room - you'll find it very cosy if you're used to sailing or carvanning!) and a second toilet .
A fairly steep wooden staircase (with handrail) leads to the top floor, with a large open-plan bedroom with twin beds (screened off by a curtain) and ceiling fan, plus a folding bed. There is plenty of space for dressing, ironing (as if you would!) or clothes drying. There's also a new (June 2006) en-suite with shower, washbasin and WC, plus a second fridge (handy for keeping drinks in!) A door leads out onto the terrace, which has a dining table and chairs, sun loungers and a brushwood canopy for shade. There are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, and it's a great place for eating, relaxing or just watching the sun go down over the mountains.
