This lovely one bedroom apartment can sleep four. It is fully equipped, your own private terrace and garden and use of the pool (in season) It is set in the hills just outside Esperaza a 10 minute walk away. Ideally situated for local tourist attractions including the medieval old city of Carcassonne, but in a quiet location so you can relax after seeing all there is to offer in this area. There are shops and restaurants in the village and a market on Sundays. We are close to Rennes-le-Chateau and many of the Cathar castles. It is only 1hour to the sea and 1 1/2 hours to Spain.

Esparaza is a short walk away, a quiet village with 2 mini markets, butchers, bakers, bars and restaurants and train station. On Sunday's there is the market, well known in the area where you can buy local produce. We also have the dinosaur museum, the hat museum and the honey museum. Visit Rennes-le-Chateau, the mysterious and infamous village featured in the Da Vinci code only a 10 minute drive. Explore Carcassonne (as featured in the no 1 bestseller Labyrinth). Visit the famous medieval walled city and castle with its museum. Then finally sit in the square at one on the many bars and restaurants. Also at Carcasonne is a lovely 18 hole golf course. We can arrange tee times for you and clubs. There is an Australian Park, a Bird Park and of course the Canal De Midi with boat trips available. Visit the thermal spas at Alet-les-Bains and Rennes-les-Bain. The spas date back to Roman times and in summer they have outdoor pools .

Additional information about rental rates

  • Booking normally Saturday to Saturday with arrival from 4.00 pm and vacate before 10.00am. This is flexible and can be modified to accommodate your travel plans.

    A £50 deposit is payable at the time of booking with the balance and a £50.00 security bond payable 8 weeks prior to arrival, if your arrival is within 8 weeks the full rental and bond are payable when booking. The security bond will be refunded to you after an inspection of the property.

    All bed linen and towels are supplied for 1 week rental. Additional linen is available upon request for a small charge.

    Electricity is included.

    A copy of out terms and conditions are available upon request.

    A grocery pack can be arranged for your arrival.

This apartment has been refurbished to a high standard and has all new furniture and a new fitted kitchen. It has everything you could need so as soon as you arrive you can relax and enjoy your well deserved holiday. The apartment has one bedroom, which can be made into a twin or double, with wash basin, wardrobe and chair. There is a separate shower and toilet. The main room has a fitted kitchen, a dining area which seats 4 and a living area with a comfortable sofa bed. There is a screened off wash basin in case there are 4 people. We have TV (BBC, ITV, Channel4 & 5 and other free channels) with video and DVD player, a radio and CD player. The bedroom and main room lead onto a private decked area with table and chairs & loungers. There is a bar-b-que area for you to enjoy. A few steps away is the pool so you can cool off on those hot summer days. The pool is normally in use from May to October, but it is heated by the sun so this may vary.

This area averages about 300 hours of sunshine a year and summer here can last from May to November.
