South Gable in Pittenweem
Review Submitted: January 9, 2012

Our first impressions of South Gable were very positive. The house was very clean the living space was bright and airy and comfortable. There was plenty towels, and essentials like hand soap, toilet rolls, etc. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was fresh, clean and crisp! The attention to detail did not go unnoticed there was even a Christmas tree. Elsie was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The surrounding area was just what we wanted great views and you could have as quiet or hectic a time that you wanted. There are plenty of restaurants, pubs, etc in both Pittenweem itself but also in nearby Anstruther and St Moan which we walked to along the picturesque coastal path that was just at the bottom of the road. There is a lovely coffee shop on the main street of Pittenweem and we can recommend the hot chocolate! Everyone we came into contact with were very nice and they couldn't do enough for us. We spent New Year's Eve in Anstruther in The Cellar, outstanding food and service!
All in all we had a great stay over the New Year period and would definately go back again.
