Double-bedroomed cottage in quiet mews courtyard and with small garden to fore

Whitehart Cottage is situated in the peaceful village of Alrewas in the heart of England. It is self catering accommodation of a high quality with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities but maintaining a traditional atmosphere of warmth and comfort. It is perfect for a peaceful week or long weekend getaway break.

All who visit comment on the comfort and quiet of the cottage and its setting.

This is a quiet location yet with many facilities on hand. River and canal run through the village and there are attractive walks and cycling on the doorstep. Many interesting places are a short drive away so you can choose countryside pursuits, city attractions or cultural visits like concert or theatre.

Nearest Airport : Birmingham International at 25 Miles

and there are cinemas in Burton, Tamworth & Sutton Coldfield.

It is easy to get around the area by car, bus or train and a taxi operates from the

village itself if required.

The accommodation for 2 has a double bedroom with exposed beams and subtle lighting, overlooking gardens and an open courtyard. The house is part of a small private development in the heart of the village. There is allocated car parking close to the house. The front door gives access to a pleasant entrance hall with spiral staircase leading to the first floor bedroom and newly appointed bathroom (shower, toilet and wash basin).

Downstairs is a fully fitted kitchen with hob and cooker, fridge and freezer available for your use. The breakfast bar and sitting room area provide a comfortable setting for leisure and relaxation. There is a separate downstairs cloakroom/toilet. All bed linen and towels are provided and there will be a welcome pack to greet you on arrival, including milk in the fridge. The property is centrally heated.

There is an open lawn and small garden area to the front of the cottage, suitable for sitting out in summer.

Visitors will find shops within easy reach (on foot if desired). Varied facilities for eating out and for take-away food are also on hand. We'll be happy to help with local information and there are bus and train facilities nearby and village taxis. Do tell us if you want contact numbers.

The village is within easy reach of Birmingham International Airport and East Midlands Airport. By road, the village lies midway between Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent and is easily accessible via the A38 (the main trunk road linking the M1 and M42 networks). It is only ten minutes north of the A5 intersection and the M6 Toll Motorway.

Had a fantastic stay at the cottage last weekend. Lovely village setting and nice surrounding area. All you need within the cottage. Would definately recommend it!

Comfortable Cottage

We enjoyed a week's stay in Whitehart Cottage in July 2011. The cottage was very comfortable in a quite mews. The village of Alrewas is very pretty, with canal/river side walks and many delightful cottages. With three bar restaurants in the village there is little pressure to use the and well equipped kitchen.
Recommended for:  Age 55+

We had a lovely week and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Alrewas and the surrounding area. Although we have been travelling to the Midlands for many years, we were surprised by how many unexplored treasures were to found just 'off the beaten track'

Pleasent relaxing stay in lovely surroundings

The Property and surroundings was exactly as they had been described in the listing. We found it the perfect place for a relaxing stress free getaway and the property was spotless very modern and extremely well maintained. Plenty of places to eat in the village all within a 5 minute walk and at very reasonable prices.Would in particular recommend the Indian. Plenty going on nearby with Lichfield around 5 miles our particular favourite.Would have no hesitation recommending this to .a friend or relative. Only one thing do not forget to take a iron everything else you need is available in the property.
