Trullo Fedelle is a spacious traditional trullo that has taken us over a year to lovingly restore and fully modernise, without losing any of its rustic appeal and character. Featured in The Sunday Times Travel pages, 3rd Feb 2008. '....Trullo Fedelle is a lovely example, with charm oozing out of its bare stone walls and, thanks to a sensitive conversion, stylish modern fittings. It’s set in five acres of olive groves, and there are vines, figs and nut trees – help yourself, the owners say. Stylish restaurants around, too. Sleeping six in three bedrooms'. Set in a rural location with 5 acres of land, Trullo Fedelle is the perfect place to forget the pressures of modern life, some of the best restaurants in Puglia; Medieval white-washed towns; a beautiful outdoor swimming pool; and glorious sandy beaches are a short distance away.

Nearest Airport: Brindisi (40 mins) or Bari (1.5 hours drive) at 50 Kilometres

Trullo Fedelle is a peaceful relaxing retreat but for those also wishing to experience traditional southern Italian life, there is much to see and do in the surrounding area that will appeal to all ages. Five minutes from our trullo is a beautiful heated outdoor swimming pool (The Banana Club), surrounded by a grassed seating area and palm trees. There is also a restaurant, bar and children’s play area. Beaches are about 30–40 minutes drive away to the Adriatic coast. Our favourite are Torre Guaceto and Costa Merlata with it's beautiful curved bay and beach-side restaurant serving fresh fish and barbecued meats. You'll find coves that are perfect for snorkelling as well as long stretches of golden sandy beaches along the coast. The Ionian coast is also within easy drive. The local town of Ceglie Messapica is 5 minutes drive away with its charming whitewashed houses and winding cobbled streets.

    Rental is usually from Thursday to Thursday, or Saturday to Saturday during the 'peak season' July to mid-Sept (but please ask as we may be able to change these arrangements).

    A non-returnable deposit of 20% is payable on booking, full details on request. Fees acceptable by cheque (UK) Swift (R.O.W) or go to our website trullofedelle.com for Paypal, who levy a 5% surcharge.

    A returnable security cheque is required prior to your departure to cover for any major damage incured. If heating is required, the rate will be based on metered usage, more details on request.

Great for a budget break with cheap family run restaurants serving fab food and wine close by. The trullo has three bedrooms (two doubles and a twin); a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with large wooden dining table and double doors that open out to a pergola with seating and dining area and impressive views of the land; a 5m diameter above-ground pool (available June 2008); a large comfortable sitting room; two modern ensuite bathrooms; gas central heating;and a large natural garden – not forgetting bundles of rustic charm. It's a great natural garden to explore – there are over a hundred olive trees and vines as well as many fruit and nut trees that you are welcome to help yourself to, if in season. Trulli are magical buildings with vaulted ceilings, stunning internal stonework and dramatic arches.

We have managed to retain these impressive structural features at the same time transforming the house into a comfortable home with modern facilities.
