'O Monte' is a beautifully restored, large country house, situated in the foot hills. It is not overlooked by any other houses and enjoys complete privacy on the rear and pool terraces with views over the local countryside. Inside, the house is richly decorated and very comfortable throughout. In high season, the Main House and Guest House can be hired jointly. Out of high season, only the Guest House can be hired.

  • O Monte, main house, guest house and cottage is available for July and August Only in 2010. Out of these peak months the guest house is available for rentals. We have a Saturday changeover day. Check out time is 10.00, check in time is 15.00. Towels and Linen are provided and changed once per week. Cot linen and beach towels are not supplied.

    Outside of this time the guest house is available for rent.

    We request 30% deposit on booking with the remaining 70% due 2 months before arrival. For bookings taken less than 2 months before arrival full payment is required.

The Guest House - occupies a self-contained wing to the east of the main house. When it is rented separately, the owner will be in residence in the adjoining main house. She is a pleasant lady who will respect your privacy and your wish to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The Guest House has a light and pleasant kitchen/dining room which is fully equipped for self catering. A lounge area with vaulted ceiling opens off the kitchen/dining room. It is equipped with a CD player and a woodburner for winter evenings. Also on the ground floor is the shower room. Stairs lead up to the first floor bedroom which has a double bed. There is access from the bedroom to the roof terrace. The Main House - The centre of the house is a large, open-plan, kitchen, dining and lounge area. French windows open out onto the West terrace. There is a separate cloakroom with WC and hand basin serving this area. There is a study with vaulted ceiling.

Opening off the study is the main bedroom and the twin bedroom. Both bedrooms share the bathroom which is en-suite to both of them. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. The main bedroom has a double bed and doors to the rear terrace. The twin bedroom has two single beds. The Guest House - has an outside dining area and a large outside day sofa on a terrace to the east. There is also a south facing terrace with sun chairs and access to the pool down steps and a path. There is also access to the roof terrace via the bedroom. The Main House - has a large shaded terrace to the west. Part of the terrace has sofas and a coffee table and part has a dining area. There is also a large south facing terrace with a further sofa and coffee table and sun chairs. There is a private pool of 10 x 4 m and 1 - 2 m depth with sun terraces all round and views over the surrounding countryside.
