The area surrounding Caprese Michelangelo is rich with natural and historic gems, which are often overlooked by the average visitor to Tuscany.
Casa Rosa is 100metres from a national way marked walk route, and a short distance from the National Park. Local guides can provide guided tours of the surrounding countryside once rich in silver and copper deposits.
As well as providing an excellent environment for walking the surrounding hills also provide many of the local people with a wide range of produce including mushrooms, truffles, chestnuts and wild game. Many of which can be enjoyed in the excellent local restaurants.
Oil and wine tastings are available at the local oil mill - one of the oldest mills in Italy. In late October/early November guests can enjoy the first pressings of the olives, with a glass of red wine in front of a roaring fire.
