The property has stunning views over Keswick, the nearby mountains and Bassenthwaite Lake in the distance, hence the name 'San Ging', Chinese for 'Mountain View'. The location offers guests the very best in freedom to explore the Lake District countryside and close proximity to the town centre facilities.

The property offers a 4 bedroom retreat with very special features combined with spacious living areas allowing a family, or two families, or group the benefits of being together with the opportunity of independent relaxation. The property is extremely well equipped to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

San Ging sits overlooking Keswick and the nearby fells. There are plenty of walks from the door. Turn left from the cul-de-sac and within 0.5 miles you can be on Walla Crag. Turn right and drop onto the old railway line which takes you to Threlkeld village

'San Ging' means 'mountain view' & the panorama of the western fells across the town with the Northern tip of Bassenthwaite Lake in focus, makes this a very special home. Full advantage is taken of the view from the large sitting room, the en-suite master bedroom and twin bedroom, especially at sunset, making this the perfect place to be at the end of a Lakeland day.

Built into the hillside, the property was designed by a local architect & offers accomodation on several levels, making it ideal for a family or group of friends. On the lower level is the entrance to the house, a cloakroom & a double garage which contains a utlity area with washer and dryer. From there, stairs lead to a landing with large dining kitchen. This room has French doors onto a small patio. The kitchen has the all appliances you would expect, a large gas range cooker and dining table seating eight.

From this level, a short flight of stairs brings you to the main floor, home to a very large, bright sunroom area leading out to the patio (south facing) with barbecue & outdoor dining. This sunroom is the perfect area for reading or simply relaxing. Off the sunroom is a luxurious bathroom, with large shower and free standing bath, and the corridor leads to the master & twin bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes, and the master having en-suite facilities.

From this floor, a short flight of stairs leads to the top floor which contains the a double bedroom, a room with bunk beds & the lounge which has panoramic views across Keswick.

San Ging is furnished in a stylish manner which makes the most of space yet provides the comfort that makes this a home.

Combined with the location, high above Keswick, yet only 5 minutes drive and 20 minutes walk from all the facilities that the town has to offer, the relaxing feel the house has makes this a really special place.

"Lovely house with lovely views"

Fantastic property, very well equipped, furnished to a high standard and very clean. No down sides to staying at this property at all, not even the walk up the hill as the views from the house more than make up for this, also taxi's are plentiful in Keswick and very cheap! Lovely walks from Keswick for all levels of fitness and ability and plenty of places to eat and drink. Would book to stay at San Ging again.

"Stunning views in gorgeous house"

We stayed here on a 4 night break & from the moment we walked in to the house we were overwhelmed by how fabulous it was.
It was a bit far to walk into town with four young children in tow but to get those stunning views you have to be set up high & so that was a sacrifice worth giving up.
We would most definately stay here again & Helen was very helpful if we needed anything & I will recommend this property to anyone who wishes to holiday in Keswick.
The house is decorated nicely & very comfortable what more could you ask for.

"Beautiful house, would reccommend"

Stayed here as a group of eight adults for a long weekend walking break. The house was spotless on arrival and we were able to leave our cars and check in early.

The views were amazing and all the rooms were furnished and decorated to a really high standard. We were lucky to have great weather throughout our stay so made good use of the garden area and gas BBQ.

The house is about a 20 minute walk into Keswick and easily accessible for many good walks in the area.

This is a great place for a group of adults or a large family to stay and I would certainly recommend it - we will definitely be visiting again.

"Amazing property great location !!"

Sanging exceeded all of our expectations. The house is amazing the decor is 1st class. We went for a "boys" walking weekend and had a fantastic time. Will definately be going back. Met Helen the owner and she is lovely. Will be going back without a doubt. Perfect thanks
