Moncrabou is a pretty cottage typically Périgordine in style with a wealth of exposed stonework and beams. Moncrabou is to be found in a tiny hamlet in a nice hilly aera, near St Cyprien. The cottage is very charming with an excellent terrace (with garden furnitures and table tennis) incorporating a covered barbecue area and a grassy garden which is higher than the house and overlooks the Château du Roc. As this is the last house in the hamlet and the tiny road becomes a lane there is no passing traffic. Quiet but not isolated, this truly delightful cottage is an ideal spot from which to explore the Périgord!

Bergerac airport is an easy 45 minutes drive away and medieval Sarlat is a 20 minute drive. The many Chateaux and Bastide towns of the Dordogne are all within a short drive.

  • Changeover day is saturday from June to September. Other time by arrangement.
    Arrivals - Saturday afternoon from 4.00pm to 7.00pm
    Departures - Saturday morning by 10.00am

    Price is including all electricty, water and gaz charges.

    Final day cleaning is not included into the price but can be hired localy before your stay at an extra cost of 90€. Please specify when booking.
  • Guests are requested to leave the proprety ina clean and ticy condition ready for the next guets. A cleaning service is available, if required, at a cost of 90 Euros, payable locally to our agent.
    Please advise when booking if you require this service.

    During cooler periods an efficent electric heating system keeps you warm (extra to be paid locally according to use).
    Bed Linen an Towels are available at extra cost:
    10€ per single bed, 12€ per double bed and 6€ towel set per guests
    Please indicate if you wish to hire the when booking, payable in full on arrival
  • 30% deposit with booking. Remainder to be paid 4 weeks before arrival.

    Breakage deposit of 300 Euros to be paid on arrival, returnable on departure.

LAYOUT OF THE HOUSE: Set in two levels, the cottage comprises: A cosy sitting/dining room with exposed stone and beams and a large open fireplace. A newly fitted kitchen. A double bedded room and a separated bathroom with toilets. A spiral staircase goes down to the lower level where you will find the second double bedded room and a third twin bedroom. There is another bathroom and a separate WC. These two lower bedrooms are inter-connected and the twin room has a door giving access to the front of the house.

THE GARDENS : The enormous well maintain gardens offers grassy areas to plan in and secluded areas to relax. There is an orchard with figues trees you can enjoy at summer time! The paved charactered terrace area is the perfect place where to dine, under the shadow of the 100 years old oak tree. It is equiped with tables and chairs and sun beds. The old oven bread with its very traditional stones roof has been converted into a bbq. There is a ping-pong table available.

SITUATION : Moncrabou is set 2,5km from the medieval village of “Saint-Cyprien” with restaurants, many local shops, including a supermarket and a boulangerie, a thriving weekly market, two banks, doctors and a tourist information centre.
