The sea is shallow for around 80 metres out, making it ideal for families. There is a small pretty harbour, where you can book boat trips to Bodrum and many other little hideaways, as well as a new water park, just 15 minutes outside the resort, again fantastic for families. Altinkum is a resort of contrast, with the main beach areas catering for every taste of the tourist, and then you have the old town, with its traditional Turkish restaurants and Saturday market, where the locals shops, which stretches for miles.
