Nearest Train: Elne at 5 Kilometres
Blue Flag beach 300 metres; Watersports on the beach during high season; Sports Centre 1 mile with pool, squash and tennis courts and fitness trail. Cycling, walking and golf at St Cyprien 5 miles. Aqualand about 1 mile. If you have access to Google Earth (a brilliant site) and go to the following co-ordinates for latitude and longitude you should end up on our balcony. North 42deg 36mins 18.72secs. East 3deg 02mins 19.56secs An easy drive to many places - Argles 10 mins; Colliuere 20; Perpignan 10mins; the Spanish border 45 mins; Carcassonne 90 mins; the Pyrenees 60 mins. New for 2008 take a look at www.frogbus.com which links Girona Airport to Perpignan Airport stopping at Le Boulou - a great service - from 5 euros.

This top floor apartment comfortably sleeps 4 and has light and comfortable furnishings. It is well equipped with patio furniture/sunbeds/electric BBQ etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 3 function microwave, fridge/freezer, extra fridge for drinks, 4 plate hob, coffee maker, juicer etc. The main bedroom has a double bed and plenty of storage. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and opens onto the balcony. Bathroom with vanity sink and bath with shower over. Separate WC. The balcony runs the width of the apartment which traps the sun from midday to sunset. The balcony overlooks the Lagoon and has beautiful panoramic views of the Pyrenees, Canigou and St Cyprien Port. There is plenty of room for eating alfresco and also room for the sun loungers provided. The apartment is in a secure gated area with its own garage. There is access to adult bikes in a separate cave.

The beach is very near to the apartment - no need to get into the hot car - just put on your flip flops and off you go - be back for lunch and a siesta within minutes. Locally the Friday market is a must - the food is amazing and there are plenty of other bargains.

The apartment was more spacious than expected and everything you could need was there. The balcony overlooking the lagoon and mountains was a real feature and the location with regards to the beach and port was just right!
We really enjoyed our stay in this relaxing part of France.

This was our second visit to La Cortaderia. We enjoyed our stay in June so much that we booked again for September and it certainly didn't disappoint. The apartment is immaculately clean, light and spacious. The large balcony facing south-west has super views over the lagoon and the mountains in the distance - there's always something interesting to watch. It's a great place to sit and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The impressive beach is just a short walk away. There are lots of good walks around and about. This time we went out on the bikes which was thoroughly enjoyable. We love the Capellans area of St Cyprien - quiet and peaceful but with everything you could need not too far away. We are already planning another return visit!
