When you're on holiday, you just want to get a wee place, relax, and take in the area for a little bit. you always want the flat you rent to feel as if it were an extension of your own place--that's the feeling you get with this flat.
Immediately comfortable, roomy, lots of light and every amenity anticipated and provided for by the flat's owner (seriously, I was genuinely amazed at how well-stocked the entire place was,from bedroom to bathroom to kitchen, even down to birthday candles in the cupboard!). There's a washer/dryer, and thorough books on all the appliances in the flat (perfect for Americans like us who are sometimes unfamiliar with the way outlets/switches work in the UK), as well as one chock-full of info about the area, from the East Neuk to Fife all the way to Edinburgh. Wifi, great shower, comfy couch and chairs, beds--wishing it were my own flat the whole time I stayed there, haha.
Great views of Cellardyke Harbour and the Isle of May from the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms, and the deck up the stairs out back is wonderful--be sure and take a meal up there if you get the weather for it. Access to the Fife Coastal path is right there, and a few minutes walk down the street gets you onto the high street in Anstruther.
Hope to get back and stay here again someday!
