We've been to Cyprus for a week. The house offers everything you would expect: from washing and dish mashine, a complete kitchen, tv, a great collection of movies on DVD, satellite tv, playstation, air conditioning (however in october we didn't need that much).
The house is new, I couldn't find it on google maps when searching for it :) and very clean. When we've arrived, a bottle of wine was awaiting us. Highly appreciated.
Everything was above what we've expected. I would recommend it to anybody.
As a note, if you are traveling from a different part of Europe, bring a power plug adapter with you, otherwise you cannot charge your phone or camera. Just google it to see if the same type of plug is used in your country as here. If you are coming from the UK you should be fine. Anyway, there's a small supermarket close to the town in the direction of Paphos, you can buy there.
Mandria is a very friendly place, it has a nice restaurant called 'Fish and chips'. Drop in, as the food is very good and the price is even better. Try the fish meze's and expect a big dish. Also try the local beers KEO or Leon, they both are very good. And in case not used to it, the large bottle has 63cl instead of 50cl. Very nice :)
There is a beach nearby (at about 2 Km s away) but you should definitely need a car, as the bus connection is not so good. You will find only a couple of buses, and during the weekends only 2. But Cyprus is worth visiting by car anyway.
If you are in Cyprus, try to explore the whole island. You will find very nice places that are not crowded with tourists. You can eat everywhere, the food is very good at an affordable price. I would definitely recommend to try all the seafoods. They are fresh and very good.
As places to visit, go to Paphos where you have the archeological sites, and the Tomb of the Kings. Then you can take a hike near the Aphrodite's bath or in the Troodos mountains. Also is worth driving alon the western coast up north until the border, then came back in the mountains in the middle of the island. The landscape is beautiful.
If you want a sandy beach, go to Coral Bay, very close to Paphos. If you prefer a more crowded town, try Agia Napa, on the other side of the island. There is also a nice beach, called Nisi.
If you already don't know, the driving is on the left side of the road and if you are used on the right side, then it will take some time to accomodate.
Will definitely go back here
