La Cordonnerie is a very comfortable house, tastefully restored to retain some of its original 18C features. Residents of La Cordonnerie also have the sole use of a large garden and a 6 x12 metre swimming pool with diving board, pool house and sun loungers.
The hamlet is close to the villages of Vaour and that of Penne, perched high up on a rock face above the river Aveyron. The busy medieval market town of St Antonin-Noble-Val, a centre for canoeing with a delightful weekly market is on the riverside just 8 miles away. It is an ideal location from which to visit the many regional historic sites.
Located between the cities of Cahors, Albi and Montauban and within easy reach of the famous ' Bastide' towns of BruniqueI, Puycelci, Castelnau de Montmiral, Larroque, Penne, Cahuzac and Cordes, it is an ideal location from which to visit the many historic sites in the region.
Albi, a beautiful regional capital on the river Tarn, is very worthwile a visit with its historic cathedral and museum dedicated to the artist Toulouse Lautrec. The fairy city of Carcassonne is 2 hours drive south, the Pyrenees can be reached in 2 hours.
