A picturesque fishing village situated on the North West Coast. Before tourism had discovered Latchi its main industry apart from fishing was the exportation of sea sponges. The main focal point of Latchi is the fishing harbor sporting fishing boats bobbing gently on the clear waters weighed down with nets, wicker baskets and the catch of the day. Fresh fish can be sampled in one of the many small stone build taverns surrounding the harbor a popular eating place for the locals. Sun worshippers and beach goers will appreciate the sandy/pebbly beaches nestling on the Akamas National Park. Cool waters and gentle summer breezes. By night Latchi becomes a hive of activity with night cruises, local discothèque and a selection of bars and restaurants to choose from.
Located next to Latchi is Polis.
This countryside village derives its name from the Greek word for city, and is the shortened version of Polis Chrysohou which translated mean “the City of the Golden Land” thus named for the fertile land surrounding the river Chrysohou. There are no large hotels so travelers can step into a world away from the usual tourist attractions and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this small but attractive village. The main feature of Polis has to be the village square boasting cobbled streets, souvenir shops, banks, jewellers, chemists and bars where thirsty travelers can sample locally made wines, including Commandaria a sweet dessert wine favored by “Richard the Lion Heart” and used as a holy communion wine. Traditional restaurants surrounding the square offer tantalizing home baked cuisine. Ice cream parlous, tiny coffee shops are a few of the delights on offer in Polis.

Europes First and Only Gary Player & Jack Nicklaus 18-Hole Signature Championship Golf Courses
The Marina Village of Latchi in Cyprus is experiencing the start of a 'Property Boom'. Over the last few weeks the government has confirmed the go ahead for A Brand New Marina, Gary Player & Jack Nicklaus 18-Hole Signature Championship Golf Courses and a New Motorway Extension from Paphos International Airport. This will cut the travel time from the airport in half from 40 minutes to 20 minutes. As a result property prices are expected to rise sharply in the short term.
Until recently Latchi has remained one of Cyprus's best kept secrets. It is one of the last authentic Cypriot Marina Villages, with the best fish restaurants on the island and some of the most expensive property too. Its home to the Most Exclusive 5 Star Hotel in Cyprus, the Anassa and the legendary Baths of Ahrodite. News of the New Motorway Extension sent property developers scrambling to Latchi only to find that the government is allowing a select number of resorts to be built that will ultimately benefit from the 2 New 18-Hole Golf Courses and New Marina.
