Review of the Lime Tree House

Me, my fiance and our one year old son stayed in the Lime Tree house for ten nights together with my brother and a friend of mine. We were 4 adults traveling, so we found out that we could save money by renting a house with two bedrooms and split the fee, instead of renting separate hotel rooms. Also it's much nicer to rent a house, you feel that you blend in more in the country you're visiting. Because it was our first trip in the area, we decided we wanted to stay close to Venice, but still not IN Venice. That's a choice i don't regret. The Lime Tree house was very nice, and much bigger than we had expected. The biggest bedroom is HUGE. The house is modern and up to date with everything you need, and you have your own private little garden. There's a playground for the kids, and you can buy fruits and vegetables from the farm shop just outside the door. The house owner is also very nice. Our sons trolley got lost at the airport, so we lent one from the house owner during our stay. Also if there is anything, they live next door. The nearest town, Vicenza isn't too bad either. Although it's a small town, they have a huge shopping center, le piramidi, and a nearby cinema if you're into shopping and movies. The famous villa rotonda is just a few kilometres away. Vicenza also got some pretty decent restaurants. We went to a japanese restaurant in the city centre, nippon, and i ate the best meal i've ever had. And i'm not even into sushi! Verona is a nearby town you should visit if you're staying in the Vicenza area. Chioggia with it's beaches isn't too far away either and is a must if you have time. It's easy to get around from the agriturismo (the house), autostradas is nearby and from the train station in Vicenza you can take the train to anywhere within the country and also the nearby countries. We parked our car at the train station car park and took a daytrip to Milan. The train ride took about 2. If you're going to Venice i can strongly recommend you take the train from Vicenza, it will save you a lot of time and hassle, but elsewhere you can take the autostrada across the country and get there in no time. I want to thank the house owner for our stay and recommend the Lime Tree house to anyone with a car who want too see northern Italy in the most convenient way possible.
