Situated in the stunning Cartmel Peninsula, between the Lake District and Morecambe Bay, The Hayloft combines limestone walls, oak beams and high quality local materials with soft furnishings from Laura Ashley and Sanderson. It sleeps 7+2 in a luxury four-poster bedroom, upstairs double and family triple (a double below a single) and lounge sofa bed and features a hand-crafted kitchen and upstairs galleried lounge to take in the views. There are 2 bathrooms; one with a Jacuzzi corner bath and a downstairs shower room with wide pentangle shower enclosure and power shower. Fluffy towels and linen are included. The kitchen is handcrafted in oak with black granite worktops and features an integrated fridge and dishwasher with induction hob and electric fan oven. The table seats 8 and leads into a glass walled garden room /second lounge with TV/DVD and books/games. Outside there is an enclosed garden with lawn and borders leading to games and laundry rooms and parking for 2 cars

The Hayloft is located in the pretty village of Allithwaite on the stunning Cartmel Peninsula, south of the Lake District. It is only 8 miles from Lake Windermere and within minutes of the National Park boundary. The Cartmel Peninsula is beautiful and quiet in comparison to the central Lakes. Cartmel and its Priory, one of Cumbria's most picturesque villages, and the Edwardian seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands, with mile-long promenade, ornamental gardens and tea-rooms are less than 2 miles from The Hayloft. Also with minutes are renowned Holker Hall and Morecambe Bay, which is seen from the upstairs lounge. The Cartmel Peninsula boasts amazing countryside with networks of paths and cycle ways including the Cumbria Coastal Way which passes near the door. There is a pub with open fire within 2 minutes and another in the village and locally you will find everything from a michelin-starred restaurant to fish and chips, from an Italian restaurant to high quality Indian cuisine.

  • Change over days are normally on a Friday. All prices include towels and bed linen. Pets extra - £10 each.

    Short breaks: 3-night short breaks are available at 75% (4-nights+ are at 85%) of the normal rate where advertised. Special offers are available and advertised on www.hayloftcottageholidays.co.uk There are no short breaks during major annual holidays.

    Booking Procedure: Provisional bookings are held for a week, by the end of which time we require either a 30% deposit (if over 6 weeks from the start of the holiday), or the payment in full if within 6 weeks. Booking Forms are available from the website or directly from the owner, but in the first instance, please confirm availability.
