The villa is built as close to the ocean as permitted with lovely ocean views, with villas on either side, and the sea in front. Within 80 m you can be in the water. Murdeira is the in-place to live on Sal - with hotel, restaurant, tropical plants, swimming pool, gym, bar, basic grocery store, small beaches and coves which you can often have to yourself. Air and space, yet only 10 minutes by motor from tourist town of Santa Maria, or capital Espargos. Cleverly designed for the tropics, environmentally friendly with natural cooling, and water recycling.

Further details for this holiday villa rental in Cape Verde

We rented this villa before we bought. We liked the direct sea views and listening to the sounds of the ocean at night. With windows on three sides, there's lots of light and natural ventilation to enjoy being indoors too. There is a small beach within about 80 metres, for swimming and snorkelling, sunbathing or picnic. You will often be the only people there. The whole complex has security, and you can wander around freely, day or night, and just enjoy the simple things in life at the ocean's edge. With an extensive inventory, available upon request, make this villa your home for your stay in Sal. Normally there is some food and drink for you to use and replenish so you don't come to a totally empty house. In December 2007 we shipped a container of furniture, equipment and decorations for this house which was already furnished. All windows have insect netting and there are oiled mahoganywood shutters on both floors.

The owners have been letting property in the UK and overseas for over twenty eight years, and letting a villa in Sal since 2005. If you would like to combine staying in a villa, with seeing some other Cape Verde Islands, we can organise this, so that you might spend time in the villa and another week or so 'island hopping'.

Our first visit to Cabo Verde incl. scuba diving

Excellent opportunity for those who dislike crowded hotels. Convenient location, both for island tour and to airport. Tranquility and independence granted. We have stayed one week, two families with 3 kids (7 pax.). You feel like at home, all needed facilities are inhouse. Very clean, but you have to watch for ants. don't leave food or waste outdoor. You can meet friendly people around and very simple but good cuisine. Excellent for outdoor activities like scuba diving (diving centre in Santa Maria), wind/kite surfing and biking
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

A delightful Christmas Holiday

Four of us spent a thoroughly enjoyable week over Christmas at this delightful Villa. We have many happy memories of looking out directly over the peaceful blue waters of the bay, dotted with yachts that had put in to spend the holiday; of our Christmas dinner in the open dining area decorated in a traditional manner; and bargaining for tuna at the nearby fishing village and then proudly carrying it back to grill outdoors. Everything that we needed, beach, swimming pool, bar and shops were conveniently at hand, and we found exploring the small town of Espargos, still largely unspoilt, a delightful way to spend a day.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
