Our holiday apartment is in San Agustin, an attractive relaxing resort,twentyfive minutes drive from the airport, in the sunny south of the island of Gran Canaria. The resort has safe sandy beach, with watersports, bar/restaurant and coastal walkway that reaches to Maspalomas and it's famous sand dunes. Gran Canaria is a sub- tropical island with a climate to match , the average temperature is 25 degrees centrigrade, making it a year round destination. The Canary Islands belong to Spain but are located off the Western coast of Africa, on a level with southern Morocco. Gran Canaria is described as a mini continent because of the variety of landscapes to be found there, from the endless sandy beaches in the south, made for basking in the sun all year round, to the dramatic rock formations and mountains of the interior and the island's capital Las Palmas located in the north, an exciting cosmopolitan city with it's own beaches, elegant stores and a broad range of cultural activities.

The local sugrocery shops often have copies of the free island newspaper in English called Tha Canary News which is very informative . You'll find dates and venues of seasonal fiestas, that seem to be never ending. The year starts with a bang with spectacular firework displays on 31st December to announce the new year, followed by parties long into the night, then there's the Three Kings parades on 5th January. Carnival begins in early February till Easter. Local festivals, exhibitions, dances are held throughout the year and everyones welcome, so make the most of them!!

  • The weekly rate shown is the average that we charge. The amount can be more or less depending upon the time of year and the number of people occupying the property. We will of course discuss this with you prior to making a reservation. We also reuire a fully refundable key/damage deposit of £100 .
    We do not specify arrival departure days or times and will always try to accommodate your needs , although Monday is our preferred chanceover day. To secure your booking we will require a deposit and the remainder six weeks prior to departure. We're happy to take cheques, alternately you can pay the money straight into our bank accounts here in England or for payments in Euros, into our Spanish account.We will send you a receipt immediately. Las Lomas is a well run, secure/private complex, right on the coast. It has an adult and children's pool with sun beds and shades and gardens with tropical plants,all tended to each day by the community's employees. Tito who speaks Spanish, English and German and Angel, both can be called upon for help, if need be.The apartment is fully furnished and equipped.It has one twin and one double bedroom, a lounge, kitchen , bathroom and furnished balcony with pool and sea views. All linen, apart from beach towels, is provided. The apartment is fully serviced before and after your arrival including a welcome pack. Further cleaning can be arranged during your stay for a small charge.

We have a small library of a variety of easy read novels that you are welcome to read during your stay and we have compiled a file of local information such as where to find the theme parks, aqua parks, golf courses, local markets, restaurants, casinos, Thalassotherapy centre and all sorts of activities, that you may find useful , including an island guide. We are located in a peaceful area but all amenities are easily reached. A variety of shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance and if you'd like to go further afield the local buses and taxis are efficient and economical; there is a taxi rank right opposite Las Lomas. There's a small bar at the entrance to the complex where drinks, ices and snack meals are served, so if you don't feel like going too far after a long day at the pool or beach, you don,t have to! The apartment guidelines are just behind the entrance door.Here you will find all the information you need e.g.

where to dispose of rubbish, locate fuse box, this will be turned on prior to your arrival, where the nearest pharmacy and medical centre are and how to contact the consulate on the island . There is also our telephone number in England, on which you are welcome to contact us should you have any problem you can't solve locally.
