Brantfield House is a large Victorian house set in mature gardens in a quiet location overlooking the village of Bowness and Lake Windermere. The apartment is on the first floor at the front of the house, with beautifully proportioned rooms offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.

Bowness is a large village on the edge of Lake Windermere. The lake offers all manor of watersports including sailing and canoeing, there are details of boat hire in the apartment. There are numerous pubs, restaurants and a cinema within walking distance. Bowness is the home of the Beatrix Potter museum and a short car journey from the writer's home.

For the walker there are details of walks from the doorstep up onto Brantfell behind the house.

This is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District

The apartment was fully refurbished and redecorated in February 2007, to add a new bathroom suite, kitchen, fireplace and carpets and in 2008 high quality double glazing was installed. All rooms are well furnished, spacious, light and airy. The apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. Each room has plentiful storage and the twin room has a TV, and PS2.

The bathroom has a bath with shower, toilet and wash basin. The Kitchen is newly fitted with ample workspace and includes oven, hob, microwave, toaster, washer and dishwasher. The large lounge /dining room is comfortably furnished with leather settees and dining table set in the bay window. There is a TV with DVD/Video players and a selection of dvds, videos, books and games. This room has a bay window allowing spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells.

The house is set in a quiet location but only a short walk to the heart of Bowness

There is ample parking for the apartment.

A little Gem!

This apartment is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. I am very fussy about cleanliness and found this to be immaculately clean. It is peacefully located with fabulous lake views. We will be returning soon!!

Fantastic!!

We had a great time at the flat, the views are unbelievable and not to be missed! It is the best placed flat around! It was very clean and tidy and made you feel at home straight away not to mention being very good value for money. Some good walks both up the hills and down by the lake and you are rewarded with a good selection of pubs after a days walking! i will definitly be recommending this to my friends and family and am already looking forward to my next visit!

don't miss this lovely apartment

We have spent a weekend and a week at this apartment. It is spacious, clean and decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The owners have thought of everything when they fitted it out and the lovely personal touches of hot water bottle,radio umbrella, books to read, brochures of local places to visit, computer games for kids means its like a ready made home you walk into. It is well situated with lovely views over the lake and is in a quiet area.

Fantastic apartment

We have stayed here over on numerous occasions and it is fabulous - the views are to die for and the location couldn't be better (except for the steep hill on the way home from the pub!) There is so much to do, the shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. The apartment itself is home from home, everything you could wish for, ideal for couples and families, the only problem is you have to leave at the end of your stay!
