Vellum court is a stunning luxury holiday apartment that is designated as a Grade II listing building. Since it's renovation and modernisation it has been used as a luxury holiday home. The accommodation consists of a large open plan kitchen and living area, master bedroom with en-suite, large second bedroom (with sloping roof), modern bathroom and a small third room. The apartment is part of an exclusive 2006 development comprising of six of the original buildings of a Victorian leather works.

The apartment is within a quiet residential area only a matter of minutes walk from Havant town centre, which provides all the common high street stores, an open air market, Waitrose and a number of coffee shops.

Hayling Island is a 5 minute drive away accross the Langstone harbour bridge and is a quaint seaside resort with a light railway, fabulous walks, golf, riding, funfair, tennis, swimming, water sports, Olympic sailing club and fishing.

Other local tourist attractions include HMS Victory, HMS Warrior & The Mary Rose Museum at Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays with its excellent shopping, the Roman archaeological site of Fishbourne, Staunton Country Park, Weald and Downland open air museum at Singleton and Bosham Art Gallery and Craft Centre.

Access to Vellum Court is via a remote control key which will open the main gates to the parking area where there is a single reserved space for the apartment. Walk through the passage way into the enclosed complex of ten character converted properties.

Vellum Court is the first floor apartment but it has it's own front door. Walk up the stairs and the family bathroom can be found on the right hand side with bath/shower, toilet, heated towel rail and basin.

Enter the main living area which is a huge open plan living room, dinning area and stunning kitchen. You will have a refreshing feeling of space in this room with it's magnificant high beamed ceiling and four large windows. The kitchen boasts brand new and high specification appliances throughout finished with a granite worktop and French oak doors on the units.

The three bedrooms and study all lead off from the main living area.

Bedroom one is a double bedroom that benefits from an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. Bedroom two is a twin bedded room with a large floor plan but please be aware this room has a slopping ceiling which drops off to become very low to one side.

Vellum court no 2 in 2011

The appartement is well located and you can approach lot's of interesting places in a short time. It is well and luxury equippt. We really enjoyed staying there and had great time. The weather was als nice. We can recommend this property for all people for relaxing holidays and those who want to visit the South of England.

Vellum the place to stay.............

Threeof us stayed at Vellum Court for 5 days in January. The accommodation having 3 bedrooms filled our needs to perfection. The apartment was extremely well equipped, very clean, well maintained and the location could not have served our needs better.
Just a 1 or 2 minute walk took us to shops and cafes.

In the apartment we all enjoyed the Big screen TV and it's many channels.

Visted Portswnmouth, Chichester, Winchester and Southampton as well as catching the car ferry for super day over on the Isle of Wight..

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time while we were at Vellum Court. We found the residents in the area very friendly and helpful. The spring just outside is fascinating to watch. Market days on Tuesdays and Saturday were particularly .

We highly recommend Vellum Court and feel confident it will make you happy.

A great holiday flat

Whilst the photos and the description on the website looked promising, our previous experience of holiday flats was less than very positive and hence our expectations were accordingly on the conservative side.

However, what a pleasant surprise were we on for! The accommodation was clean, bright and roomy, well furnished with quality furniture and had an air of comfort that invited us to relax and feel immediately at home - which, after a car trip with a complaining one year old, is not to be taken lightly!

We found a great selection of toys, games, DVDs , etc to keep everyone occupied when we were in, whilst the location of the flat just on the edge of town centre meant not only were we a few minutes’ walk from all local amenities, but also close to the main roads and so a short drive to various attractions, including some really beautiful beaches (West Wittering beach about 20 minutes drive highly recommended).

The flat and its homely feel, its location, (and the unexpectedly sunny and warm weather) all worked together to make it a really good time for us.

Well recommended.

Best we've ever stayed in!!

We were in the Portsmouth area visting family, and as we always do when we go away took all our own towels, some bedding for my daughter and a bag full of toys. We didn't need any of it, there were toys golore for little one n play station for older daughter. The kitchen was better equipt than my own at home, which made live very easy! (although we did try chinese take away one night which we had delivered V nice too) The whole place was home from home very comfortable and would diffinatly recommend it to anyone! We hope to go back again some time. It was close by the town we even found the market to be on tuesday which was full of fresh food, the supermarket is on your doorstep nearly which is handy if you dont fancy taking the car out. All the neighbours were very friendly and even gave us tips of places to visits.

A thoroughly relaxing and tranquil week's break

The apartment in Vellum Court is a very nicely finished living space with muted colours and tasteful furnishings. The living room part of the open plan area allows enough space for 2 large luxurious sofas and the kitchen has just about everything you need as far as the culinary side of things is concerned. All the time during our stay, there was hardly any noise from traffic or neighbours (who incidently were very welcoming and friendly throughout) and the surrounding properties added to the charm of the ex parchment works that seem to make up the majority of the development. The amenities such as the big Tesco and the high street just around the corner made things very convenient, and there is a nice park just opposite the bus station which is also nearby. Would definitely like to return.
