This family run complex is only 10 miutes walk from the promenade, and 25 minutes walk to the old town and harbour of Puerto del Carmen. The whole complex is on the beach side of the road, and therefore no apartment is further from the beach than a minutes walk. There is a large heated pool, situated in an enclosed and well protected sun terrace. Each block of 6 apartments is set in mature structural gardens. There are only two 1 bedroom apartments on the whole complex, both on the ground floor with a patio, and they are very popular with people wishing to do long lets of 6 or 8 weeks.

Puerto del Carmen is a combination of traditional and modern. Originally a quaint fishing harbour and village, the town has developed into a very attractive modern resort along the south facing bays of the Los Fariones, Pocillos and Matagorda beaches. As with the rest of Lanzarote, great care has been taken in planning the architecture and landscape. The result is a beautiful promenade stretching the length of the three bays lined with palm trees and the colourful tropical flowers are a main feature. The beautiful sandy beaches and clear blue water are ideal for sunbathing and swimming all year round. Puerto del Carmen is highly recommended as safe and suitable for young and old alike. The protected southerly situation shelters it from the prevailing winds on the North and East side of the island.

my husband couldn't get time off work and i really needed a break, so i went to costa luz with a girlfriend. we stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was lovely, overlooking the gardens and really close to the swimming pool. we stayed in every night because we just fancied a quiet time, but there were loads of nice places to eat and drink within walking distance that we've ear-marked for the next hols. we explored quite a bit during the day - walking along the beach all the way to playa honda one day, with a long tapas lunch before walking back, another time we took a bus to puerto calero marina and another time walked to the old harbour to a great fish restaurant - la lonja i think it was called. costa luz is all together a wonderful place. a perfect spot to unwind. clean and pretty and way better than other self-catering places i have stayed in. i had a look at a two bedroom while i was there too - they're lovely too and some are right on the beach
