Henrys’ is a cosy relaxing cottage, sleeping 4, it's comfortably equipped and contains, an entrance lobby, downstairs newly refurbed shower room, dining room, kitchen and lounge, upstairs are two double bedrooms and is ideal for a family seaside holiday or to use as a base for exploring the broads and this delightful area.

Pleasantly situated in the small village of Winterton-on-Sea Henry's cottage is just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful sandy beach and dunes. The village also boasts an excellent local pub, shop, post office, fish and chip shop and beach cafe all close by.

Winterton-on-Sea is a small, quiet and historic fishing village on the east coast of Norfolk on the edge of the broads, and is approximately 8 miles up the coast from Great Yarmouth.

Unspoiled sand dunes and beautiful beaches make it ideal for relaxing seaside holidays. For those looking for a bit more activity the dunes nature reserve is within an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (SSSI and SAC), and is ideal for bird watching and walkers. What's more an large seal colony has made it's home just north of Winterton, and are a delight to visit.

Winterton also provides easy access to the broads with numerous place locally to hire boats or exploring the broads.

And if you fancy a change of pace Great Yarmouth is only 20 mins away with all the bright lights and entertainment you'd expect from a large traditional seaside town with lots of varied activities to keep the whole family entertained.

Henry's is a former fishermans cottage that dates back approximately 150 years with comfortable lounge, dining room seating 4, small quaint kitchen, shower room and two double bedrooms, with draws, wardrobe or hanging space. (one also has a cot bed suitable for a small child). As an old cottage I have tried not to over modernise it and it remain sympathetic to it's rustic character and charm, allowing you to enjoy it's relax and unwind in pleasant surrondings

Outside there is parking for two cars and pleasant gardens both front and back, a decking area with garden furniture to enjoy the first cup of tea of the day, a brick built barbeque and sun loungers available for the most relaxing of days.

Situated in the heart of the village there's always someone to talk to, and you're never far from anywhere, in additon to the pubs and shops ther is an excellent childrens playground for a change from the beach, while on the edge of the village is a beautiful church dating back to the 1500's and a seal hospital is nearby, meaning that there is always something to do or somewhere to visit.

Fantastic little cottage

We stayed here for a few nights over the october half term and had the most fantastic time. I hadn't realised it was in easy walking distance of a beautiful beach where we could see seals. The cottage was charming - plenty of space for all five of us (the kids were happy bunking down on airbeds) and it was the perfect base for exploring the local area. Fantastic

Perfect Get-away!

We stayed in Henry's Cottage for 3 nights and it was perfect for what we needed. There was a cot in the main bedroom for my 16 month old son along with a stair gate and travel chair for eating. The location is gorgeous and the cottage is delightful. Quaint and pretty, it made for a great base for our exploring of this side of Norfolk. I also found it to be excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this cottage, particularly for a small family who want to get away and stay somewhere quiet and peaceful but also be near to Great Yarmouth and some excellent local attractions. I would also recommend Pettits Animal Park if you have little ones, low cost and a great day out, only 30 mins drive from the cottage too. I am pretty sure we will return to henry's Cottage in the future.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Lovely Stay

We had a wonderful time at Henry's cottage and were very lucky with the weather. we were fortunate to see seals whilst walking to Horsey as well. We joined the NT and went to Blicking and Felbrigg. We have had many holidays in Norfolk but still found many new things to do. You are lucky to have Henry's cottage - Winterton is really lovely, the pub is really good, as are the chips at the local fryery and the beach cafe we tried on our last morning when we went on the talk about the little terns and that was great too. all in all an excellent week.

Your garden is lovely - we even saw the hedgehog on our last night. we hope to be back one day soon
