Located in an elegant street in one of the smartest areas of Nice, this apartment is located in a traditional building which was completely modernised in 2005. The apartment is on the first floor and there is a lift (elevator). It's ideal for a couple or small family looking for a quiet apartment close to all major amenities including restaurants, shops, sea and public transport.

This apartment is located in central Nice in the rue Maccarani, a quiet street leading down to the promenade des Anglais. Opposite the apartment is a beautiful public garden and fine Protestant church. All major amenities are within 10 minutes easy walking distance including: * Seafront on the promenade des Anglais * The old town of Nice and its quaint streets and famous flower market * Shopping on the Avenue Jean Medecin and the pedestrian area (to name a few) * Restaurants and bars - French, Italian, Greek, Mexican, Indian and American * Entertainment - clubs, casinos, cinemas and theatres * Museums and art galleries (at least 12 although some are perhaps more than 10 minutes away) * Public gardens including one outside the apartment with children's playground * Local shops and supermarkets * Local markets - a gastronome's paradise - some open every day * Post office * Bus stops * Bus stops * Main railway station

Additional information about rental rates

  • Arrivals and departures are normally on Saturday, please ask about other days.  

    Charges are fully inclusive of electricity and local taxes. A one-off cleaning charge of £75 / 95 Eur is also payable to ensure that the apartment is ready for the next visitors. There is a additional charge of £10 per week for use of the sofa bed.

    All charges are payable prior to arrival. A refundable deposit of £155 / 200 Eur for breakages/damages is also payable. Full terms and conditions will be provided on confirmation of the booking.

Notes: For getting around Nice, bicycles can be rented by the hour throuh the local bike hire system. Wheelchairs can be rented from the local medical supplies centre. There is just 1 step from the street to the lift although we haven't tried getting an open wheelchair into it and cannot guarantee that the patio is accessible to wheelchairs.

The main room serves as the lounge and open plan kitchen. The lounge has a large sofa bed sleeping 2 people, dining table and chairs. For entertainment there is a TV, DVD player and music centre. The high ceiling helps give a feeling of airiness. The leaded lights in the doors are an original feature and add to the charm.  For those wishing to self-cater, the open plan kitchen is fully fitted with an electric cooker and oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric toaster and kettle. A washing machine is also provided. The shower room has a washbasin and WC. Leading off the lounge is the main bedroom with double bed and fitted wardrobes. Both the lounge and bedroom open out onto a large terrace overlooking the courtyard at the back of the building. The terrace is extremely unusual for a city apartment and has a parasol, table and chairs to allow you to entertain or just relax on warm balmy evenings away from the crowds of central Nice.
