Butterdon Lodge is on the outskirts of the small Devon village of Diptford, nestling in the peaceful countryside of the Devon South Hams, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The nearest town, Totnes is a Tudor market town, complete with castle and friday panier market and well known nationally as a center for alternative health and living. Diptford itself is a quiet english village, with a beautiful 16th C church a small school and unfortunatly no pub !!Luckily there are a variety of pubs within a 5 minute drive of the village, that offer both food and nice beer gardens.

A full-time lifeguard is on duty between May and September.
