Dalmore Cottage is a stylish comfortable holiday home. From its exceptional location at the high point of Crinan Village there are outstanding panoramic views to the West looking out over Jura, Scarba, Mull and the Gulf of Corryvrecken, and to the North across Loch Crinan to Duntrune Castle. The property provides the ideal base for outdoor activities exploring this beautiful area of the West Coast of Scotland. Activities on the doorstep include walking, mountainbiking along forest tracks, sailing and other watersports as well as the important historic sights of the area. A path leads from the edge of the property down some steps to the waterfront at Crinan Harbour, where there is also a small beach. A much more extensive, beautiful sandy beach is to be found at Crinan Ferry, a 5 mile drive. Set in 3/4 acre of ground and located at the end of a no-through road it provides a high degree of seclusion and privacy.

Nearest Airport: Glasgow at 85 Miles
Nearest Ferry: Oban at 38 Miles
Walking (from the door!) including along the famous Crinan Canal and hillwalking, e.g. to Castle Dounie or the Crinan Hill Walk, both excellent walks to enjoy the wonderful views. Mountain biking (forrest tracks). Sailing and other water sports on Loch Crinan. Crinan Ferry beach, a beautiful sandy beach (5 miles). Gemini Cruises to nearby Islands. Many nearby islands are in easy reach on a day trip via car and ferry, including Gigha, Mull (where the real Balamory can be found), Easdale, Arran and Islay. The area is rich in local history. Kilmartin Museum (6 miles) has an excellent display of this, hands on activities for children, and an attractive conservatory restaurant/coffee shop. Other wet weather activities include the Mid-Argyll Swimming pool and sports centre in Lochgilphead (7 miles). National Trust gardens: Crarae and Arduine are within a 30 minute driveand are particularly spectacular in Spring/early Summer.

The property has been furnished to a very high standard, with quality furniture and designer fabrics. The spacious lounge is bright and airy with windows on two sides. To the West patio doors lead out onto a balcony area enjoying the exceptional views to Jura Scarba and Mull, as well as much foreground interest with Crinan Island and the many yachts which frequent Loch Crinan. The lounge and adjacent balcony are ideal for watching the sunsets. The balcony area is equipped with a teak table and chairs and a barbecue. There is a large open plan kitchen/dining room, a particularly bright room with windows on 3 sides. An oak table provides seating for 6. The property will sleep six in flexible accomodation. There is a double bedroom with a King size bed, a twin bedroom and a third bedroom which can be used either as a double or a twin. A cot is also available. 2 of the 3 bedrooms enjoy the Loch facing views.

Children are very welcome, and are welcome to use the fort with swings and a slide, in the adjacent owners property.
