Vera is a very Spanish town that is full of character. It has a beautiful town square, gardens and a spectacular bull ring. It holds a market on Saturdays. Vera Playa covers the beach area between Puerto Rey and Villaricos. Its blue flag beaches stretch for 8 km. Naturalists have their own 3 km stretch of beach, restaurants, cafe, hotel and apartments. It also offers the only water park in the area, Parque Acuatico, open from May to September. Villaricos has a delightful marina and promenade. Garrucha is a lively fishing town, famed for its 'Garrucha Prawns' and seafood restaurants. It has a magnificant beach and promenade. Friday is market day. Aguilas has its own micro climate. Its average annual temperature is 23 degrees centigrade. Activities include rock-climbing and trekking. It is famed for its underwater landscapes making it popular with scuba divers from across the world.
