***LAST 2 WEEKS IN AUGUST STILL AVAILABLE - £400 PER WEEK OR £600 FOR 2 WEEKS *** This luxury villa is located on the stunning gated resort of the Polaris World complex at Mar Menor. The resort itself is based in beautiful gardens around a 9 hole golf course (soon to be 18 holes) and offers extensive facilities. The centrepiece is the 5* Intercontinental Hotel which houses the golf club, golf bar, Irish Pub,fine dining restaurants and a world class spa offering spa treatments. The resort social centre offers a supermarket, communal pool, tennis court, free gym, hairdressing and beauty salon, medical centre as well as a bar and restaurant. These facilities are all less than a minute walk away from the villa. The nearest beach is 3km away, but the whole coast provides a vast choice of different beaches. This resort is ideal for both those looking for an energetic holiday or for families wanting a safe environment to enjoy the Spanish sunshine.

The Costa Calida boasts 320 days of sunshine every year. The bustling cities of Murcia and Cartagena offering many visitor attractions, shopping and a harbour are only a short drive away. The Meditteranneo Centre, a major new retail park on the motorway to Cartagena provides retail therapy as well as restaurants and a cinema. Locally, Los Alcazares (3 km away) provides the nearest sandy beach with bars and restaurants along the promenade. The Mar Menor itself offers a multitude of sandy beaches with safe calm waters for bathing set amongst small unspoilt villages such as Cabo de Palos where you can watch the fisherman bring in their boats and sample their catch at the guidebook recommended Miramar restaurant. Further up the coast towards Alicante but withina 20 minute drive are the beautiful beaches of Torre de la Horadada, Cabo Roig, Calle Capitan. These provide opportunities to jump in the waves or use the body boards.

The villa met all our expectations, as did the complex it was on. The Hotel next door provided much of the enterntainment and dining and drinking facilities, which were of a very high standard but not cheap! The owner was very helpful in the run up to the holiday and during it. The house was very clean, and had everything we wanted. If you want a well presented holiday home, with amenities close by, and no desire to go anywhere else - this is for you. The local area, and the local town, left a lot to be desired, but the resort itself was just great.
