Location Is Wonderful
Review Submitted: February 27, 2009
Date of Stay: January 2009
Two of us were there the first two nights and it worked for that amount, but when there were five adults staying there it was very very cramped. They did send additional pictures, but it is hard to understand just how the stairs are built, there is no railing and once you are on the second Ievel adults are unable to stand up. It was stocked well enough with kitchen items for simple meals.
The heating could not be adjusted, which is fine if you can open the windows, but only one of the windows, which was in one room, would open. The other room the window would not open, so it was suffocating!! I called the phone # of the gentleman that met us at the apartment and left a message, but he never returned my call. Also, the lift did not stop on our floor, it was broken, so we had to take the lift up and then walk down. This was one of my main items of importance since to one of us has leg/hip issues so I was very dissappointed.
The best I can say is location, location, location. It does have an incredible location, and that does count for a lot.
Maybe by now all the items I have mentioned have been addressed and corrected.

Owner's Response: These 3 small problems (window, too much heating and elevator on the next floor) was fixed in February.
Globally the apartment is very large (1 floor of a large building facing the Louvre: about 200m2 divided in 10rooms; grouped into 5 independent but linkable apartments). We always propose the most economic solution according with the size of the group. But we always send additional pictures and floor plans to let you choose between the most economic solution and the most comfortable. One prefer to have 100m2 for 2 guests (with higher budget) others will choose 60m2 for 8 because they just sleep in the apartment and want the cheapest possible apartment in the best location of Paris.
