We chose the lodge from the lovely pictures on the website, but when we arrived it was clear that the reality was even better. The location was idyllic(even if you are'nt a horse lover, although it would be hard not to appreciate the beauty of these animals) and the view from the patio would be hard to beat anywhere.
There was a nice bottle of wine awaiting us on arrival and we were happy to find that the lodge was clean, beautifully presented, and fitted out to an excellent standard.
We stayed for one week from 12th June and the weather was superb all week, but the log burner in the living room was a lovely bonus in the evenings.
Our hosts Ann & Maurice recommended a couple of local pub restaurants and they both provided great food and their eggs even came from Anns chickens!
We both live and work in the hectic and overcrowded south east and a week at the lodge was a perfect antidote to our normal lives. Highly recommended and we will be back! Tony and Denise
