Layout of the house:
The main house’s entrance leads into a spacious open plan living room, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated with sofa and armchairs and a dining room area. The living room has retained many of the original features with exposed stone and beams, original wooden floor and a large opened fireplace. French window from the living leeds into a good size fitted kitchen, well equipped with hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. The range of crockery, glass, cutlery and cooking utensils is very generous. Also on ground floor is a small bathroom with bath and sink and separated toilets.
Upstairs, three bedrooms, a large double with valley view, and two smallest twins share a bathroom with a shower and toilets. Cot and highchair are available on request. The laundry room, with washing machine, dryer and a small freezer is set in a adjacent stone building.
Off the upper courtyard is an attractively decorated guests bedroom incorporating an original stone sink, separate from the main part of the house. It has 2 single beds which can be joined together as a king size bed. It has an en-suite shower and wc.
Few more stone steps lead to the “maison au toit de lauze” which consists of a very large open plan living, with exposed stone and beams and a huge original open fireplace. It is used as a games room for kids or as a TV salon. Also it offers a large double bed which can accommodate another two guests. From its terrace, you have breathtaking views of the Dordogne valley.
the pool and gardens:
Outside the large swimming pool (12x6m) with its paved surround takes also full advantage of the view.
It is fenced and have a electric cover to keep it warm.
The mature garden also enjoys the country view and offers the best of both worlds - a shady terrace to relax and dine with areas in full sunshine.
