In the heart of the Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca, can be found the newly built Gialla Casciana, a two bedroom property with garden, covered eating area and good sized private pool. The house is within walking distance of a small ancient village and only a couple of minutes in the car to a larger village with all facilities This is a good opportunity to have a holiday with toal privacy, yet at a reasonable price.

Location: Piazza al Serchio in Italy

This house is situated a 15 minute walk (less on the way back, since the area is hilly!) from an ancient village which has a bar and shop, and a 20 min walk (much more on way back!) or less than 5 minute drive from the larger village of Piazza al Serchio with all facilities. Facilities include, traditional shops; supermarket; small Tuesday morning market when village really comes alive; river; station for easy exploring; bars and some restaurants. In the depths of the countryside, high in the valley the house is a 1 hr 15 minute drive north of Lucca. The market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is a 20 minute or so drive; Barga is 40 minutes..... The real beauty of this area is the dramatic mountain scenery, and the hundreds of hilltop villages to explore......

The house is situated all on one level and has a well equipped open plan living /kitchen/diner, with all facilities. The kitchen boasts a washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. In the living area there is a CD player and DVD player. There are also two bedrooms - one double and one twin and a shower room. Outside there is a good size garden and at the back of the house, a covered eating area, leading up to decked pool of 10M x 5M , with views of the mountains beyond.
