House layout :
The cottage is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated in a bright, light style. The spacious living room has a sitting area with two large sofas, TV, DVD and radio/CD player, a dining area and three large french windows leading to the sunny terrace and gardens.
The vast open plan fitted kitchen is well equipped with cooker, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a breakfast counter. Also on the ground floor are the master bedroom with a king size bed, a shower room with toilets and a laundry room with washing machine, dishwasher and a second small fridge/freezer.
Upstairs are two charmingly decorated bedrooms, one with two single beds and the second with a single bed and a bunk bed. There are a bathroom with a bath and separate wc.
Outside, the garden offers a large expanse of grass, bordered by fields and pastures, providing plenty of space for childrens’ games. There is a good choice of garden furniture, including sun loungers, and a barbecue.

The Dordogne river is at a very convenient walking distance from the house - a pleasant 10 minutes walk throught an unspoilt countryside. There is a rocky beach, table to pic nic, and a slide and swing for the little ones.
Situation :
La Maison du Coux is a perfect base from which to visit the many medieval villages and castels of the area, including Beynac, La Roque-Gageac, Domme or Sarlat nearby, and also within easy reach of Bordeaux vineyards such as Monbazillac and Saint Emilion about 1,5h drive away.
